NDC Plans Logo Change Amid Legal Challenges and Campaigns

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) announced efforts to replace its existing logo with a modified version, as stated by National Publicity Secretary Osa Director. The party is currently engaging with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to address administrative issues related to this change.

The modification process is delayed due to ongoing administrative procedures. The NDC is involved in a legal dispute with the Peace Movement Party (PMP), which claims ownership of the current logo.

Until the modification is finalized, the NDC has directed its candidates and members to continue using the existing logo, which features a two-finger victory sign, for campaign purposes. The NDC is also activating its campaign structures for the 2027 general elections, instructing all candidates, including presidential candidate Peter Obi and Vice-Presidential candidate Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to commence grassroots engagements.

The party emphasized that its campaigns must be issue-based and free from violence and inflammatory language.
