NEU Gombe Offers 50% Scholarship for Science Courses

NEU Gombe, under the leadership of Pro-Chancellor and Founder Dr Sani Jauro, has introduced a 50% scholarship for six science-based courses aimed at prospective students. This announcement was made during the 2026 graduation ceremony of Pen Resource Academy.

The scholarship targets programs such as B.Sc. Petroleum Chemistry, B.Sc.

Environmental Management and Toxicology, B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry, B.Sc.

Microbiology, B.Sc. Biotechnology, and B.Sc.

Urban and Regional Planning. Dr Jauro stated that the initiative responds to the growing economic opportunities linked to oil exploration in the Kolmani area of Gombe and Bauchi states.

He emphasized the need for a new generation of professionals equipped with scientific and technical skills to thrive in the developing oil and gas industry in the North-East. Additionally, NEU Gombe is planning to establish an Oil and Gas Competency Development Centre to provide specialized training for students and professionals, ensuring they possess both academic qualifications and practical skills for the labor market.
