Arthur Eze Launches Scholarship for 50 NWU Students

Arthur Eze, the Chairman of Oranto Petroleum, has offered a scholarship program for 50 undergraduate students at Northwest University Sokoto (NWU), set to commence in the 2026/2027 academic session. The scholarship offer, detailed in a letter dated May 8, 2026, aims to support students facing financial challenges while enabling them to excel academically and contribute to society.

The first phase of the program will cover students enrolled in full-time degree programs across various faculties at the university. The scholarships will either cover tuition fees or accommodation, depending on arrangements approved by the university.

Beneficiaries will be selected based on academic merit and financial need, and the scholarship will continue throughout the duration of the chosen degree program, provided students maintain good academic standing and discipline. Eze expressed respect for the university's founder, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, acknowledging his contributions to advancing education in Nigeria.

Professor Mukhtar Umar Bunza, Vice Chancellor of NWU, expressed profound appreciation for the scholarship offer, describing it as a transformative intervention that will ease the burden on deserving students and expand access to quality higher education.
