NGF and R&A Foundation Enhance Golf Coaching in Nigeria

The Nigeria Golf Federation (NGF) has formed a partnership with the R&A Foundation to advance golf coaching in Nigeria. This collaboration aims to strengthen the professional development of golf coaches through international training.

Mark Oseni, a certified PGA professional, is set to attend PGA Level 1 and 2 coaching courses in South Africa in July 2026. The R&A Foundation supports this program as part of its global commitment to grow golf coaching education.

The initiative seeks to equip Oseni with internationally recognized coaching qualifications and modern teaching techniques. Upon completion, Oseni will train PGA professionals across Nigeria, enhancing coaching standards nationwide and supporting grassroots golf development.

NGF President Otunba Olusegun Runsewe described this partnership as a milestone for golf development in Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of building local capacity and reducing reliance on foreign expertise. The knowledge and experience Oseni acquires will be shared with other professionals, benefiting the sport as a whole.
