NGF and R&A Foundation Collaborate to Train Golf Coaches

The Nigerian Golf Federation (NGF) has announced a partnership with the R&A Foundation to train professional golf coaches in Nigeria. Mark Oseni, a certified PGA professional, will participate in PGA Level 1 and 2 coaching courses scheduled for July 2026 in South Africa.

This initiative is part of a global commitment to enhance golf coaching education and aims to equip Oseni with internationally recognized coaching qualifications and modern teaching techniques. Upon completion, Oseni is expected to improve coaching standards nationwide and contribute to the training of PGA professionals across Nigeria.

NGF President Otunba Olusegun Runsewe described this partnership as a milestone in golf development in Nigeria, emphasizing the commitment to building local capacity and creating sustainable growth in the sport. The NGF aims to reduce reliance on foreign expertise and invest in human capital to support grassroots golf development and produce competitive Nigerian players.
