WGF and NBSF Launch Program to Boost Female Sports Participation

The Women’s Glory Foundation (WGF) and the Nigeria Baseball and Softball Federation (NBSF) initiated a program aimed at boosting female participation in baseball and softball, specifically targeting teenage girls. This initiative commenced during an event at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, which also celebrated the 10th anniversary of the WGF.

The event included a gala night and an award ceremony to honor the foundation's decade-long impact in promoting opportunities for young women in sports. Nneka Nzewi, the founder of WGF, emphasized the importance of collaboration and strategic investment in the future of young Nigerian girls, stating that every girl deserves the chance to discover her potential and pursue her dreams.

Luci Nwajid Obi, president of the foundation, highlighted that sports serve as a powerful tool for social development, character building, and promoting healthy lifestyles, while also preparing the next generation of female leaders.
