GEPA Enhances Rural Healthcare with Energy Initiative

On August 28 and 29, 2023, Graced Energy Professionals for Africa (GEPA) delivered basic lighting and fans to the Kure Public Health Centre in Kure Village, Lagelu Local Government Area of Oyo State, and the Imope Primary Health Care Centre in Ijebu Igbo, Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State. This initiative is part of GEPA's 2026 Energy Outreach Initiative, aimed at addressing energy needs in underserved communities, particularly in healthcare facilities.

GEPA stated that reliable access to electricity can enhance the working conditions for health workers and improve patient experiences. The organization has a history of annual outreach projects, having previously distributed solar lamps to schools in Lagos State in 2025.

GEPA plans to extend similar interventions to Ghana, emphasizing its commitment to Africa's energy development. Founded by Chinenye Ajayi, GEPA aims to develop a new generation of energy professionals who actively contribute to solving energy challenges on the continent.

The organization acknowledged its partners, including Cardinal Healthcare Foundation and Solfa Power Limited, for their support during the outreach.
