The arrest occurred during a routine patrol by police and vigilant operatives who spotted Abdullahi vandalizing electrical cables supplying power to the buses. Upon noticing the security personnel, he abandoned a Honda vehicle with registration number KEF 403 SA and fled the scene. The vehicle was later searched, revealing two mobile phones, two SIM cards, and two expired vehicle documents.
