Nigeria to Host Muslim World League Security Conference

Nigeria will host a Muslim World League Security Conference to examine the relationship between peace, security, and socio-economic development, promoting dialogue among Muslims, Christians, and other faiths. Mohammed Idris, Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, made this announcement during the inauguration of a mosque in Abuja by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League.

Idris highlighted the significance of the conference amid Nigeria's efforts to enhance its national security and socio-economic reforms. He reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to religious harmony and national unity, stating that a secure Nigeria would positively impact West Africa and the continent.

Sheikh Al-Issa praised President Tinubu for his initiatives to promote peaceful coexistence and expressed confidence that the conference would facilitate important discussions on security and interfaith dialogue, contributing to stability in Nigeria and beyond.
