Nigeria's Vice President to Promote Talent at UNGA 81

The Hire From Nigeria campaign, a public-private sector initiative, will present at a side event during the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 81) on September 24, 2026, in Manhattan, New York. The event, themed “Impact Sourcing As A Driver Of Global Trade And Inclusive Job Creation,” will feature a keynote address by Nigeria’s Vice President, His Excellency Sen. Kashim Shettima, GCON, focusing on Nigeria's potential as a leading outsourcing destination.

This event follows the campaign's national launch in Abuja on August 31, 2026, where leaders committed to connecting Nigerian talent with global opportunities. The Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, MFR, emphasized the goal of increasing Nigeria's participation in global trade through this initiative.

Confirmed speakers include various state governors and leaders from the private sector and technology fields. The campaign is supported by multiple ministries and organizations, aiming to enhance services exports and create jobs in Nigeria.
