NWF President Congratulates Adebiyi on UWW Certification

Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, the President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation (NWF), congratulated Adebiyi Anthony Olusegun on successfully attaining his Level 2 United World Wrestling (UWW) Referees certification. Anthony completed the certification during the 2026 African Wrestling Championships held in Alexandria, Egypt.

This achievement is part of the NWF's commitment to developing officials and providing opportunities for promising referees to gain international exposure. Adeniyi sponsored Anthony's participation in the course, reflecting the NWF Board's vision to invest in not only athletes but also referees, coaches, and technical officials essential for the growth of wrestling in Nigeria.

Adeniyi expressed pride in Olusegun's accomplishment, stating that the entire Nigerian wrestling community is pleased with his progress. He encouraged young referees to pursue professional development and seize opportunities to represent Nigeria internationally, emphasizing the NWF's dedication to building a robust wrestling system.
