Nigerian Army Declares Soldier Wanted for Uniform Sale

The Headquarters Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps (NAOC) has declared Private Mohammed Yusuf Amutu wanted due to his alleged involvement in the illegal sale and supply of military uniforms to terrorists and other criminal elements. Preliminary investigations indicated that Amutu, who was serving at the Nigerian Army Ordnance Kits Factory, absconded from his unit on June 3, 2026.

Major Oluwatope Dorcas Aluko, the Assistant Director of Army Public Relations at NAOC, stated that the military is making intensive efforts to locate and apprehend him for further investigation and possible disciplinary action. The Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards misconduct and warned that any military personnel aiding terrorists through unauthorized sales of military items would face severe consequences.

Aluko also urged the public to provide credible information to assist in the soldier's arrest, reaffirming the Corps' commitment to accountability and professionalism in addressing misconduct.
