D’Tigress Welcomed by Nigerian Envoy Ahead of World Cup

Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany, Senator Ita Enang, formally welcomed the senior women’s national basketball team, D’Tigress, in Berlin as they intensify preparations for the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup. The team arrived in Berlin to fine-tune their squad and strategy ahead of the tournament.

D’Tigress will compete in Group B, facing Korea Republic, Hungary, and France, with France being a particularly strong opponent. The ambassador's reception highlights the support of the Nigerian diplomatic community for the team, emphasizing their role in representing Nigeria internationally.

During their time in Germany, D’Tigress aims to sharpen their tactical approach and improve coordination, with the technical crew focusing on the players' physical and mental readiness for the competition.
