Nigeria's High Commissioner to Jamaica Promotes Trade Ties

Dr. Jane Bassey Adams, the High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Jamaica, presented her Letters of Credence to His Excellency the Most Honourable Sir Patrick Linton Allen, Governor-General of Jamaica, on September 10, 2026. During this event, she emphasized the importance of trade, investment, technology, health, culture, tourism, and education as key sectors to enhance Nigeria-Jamaica relations.

Dr. Adams conveyed greetings from Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Sir Allen and the Jamaican government. She described her presentation as a significant milestone in the relationship between the two nations, highlighting their historical bonds and shared heritage.
