Nigerian Institution Of Safety Engineers Promotes Safety

The Nigerian Institution Of Safety Engineers, a division of the Nigerian Society Of Engineers, proposed strategies to promote safety standards in Anambra State during the inauguration ceremony of the 2026/2027 Executive Committee in Awka. Engineer Bertram Nwajagu was inaugurated as the 4th Anambra State Chairman and announced his intention to establish a State Safety Commission aimed at educating the public on the importance of safety standards.

He emphasized that the commission would spearhead safety campaigns across various sectors. The immediate past chairman, Engr.

Finbar Ajaegwu, urged the public to prioritize safety in their activities and encouraged Nwajagu to create safety clubs in Anambra State to protect citizens' lives and properties. The event was attended by Prof.

Charles Ofoegbu, the Anambra State Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, who represented Governor Charles Soludo.
