Nigerian Woman Missing in Qatar Found Safe in Hospital

A Nigerian woman who went missing in Qatar has been found alive after being taken to a hospital due to illness shortly after her arrival. Her brother, Jonathan Jibo, confirmed this development on Sunday, stating she had traveled from Lagos to Doha on Qatar Airways flight QR1408.

Concern grew when her family lost contact with her despite having arranged accommodation and a designated person to pick her up at the airport. The designated pickup person was unable to locate her, and her family feared for her safety as she had no known friends in Qatar.

Michael Achimugu, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, confirmed via the airline that she had arrived safely and exited the terminal. Later, Achimugu indicated that she was safe and with fellow Nigerians.

Jibo expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Embassy in Doha, Qatar Airways, Achimugu, and those who supported the search efforts. The family’s immediate search concluded with her discovery in the hospital, although details regarding her illness remain unclear.
