Nigerians to Watch Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games Free

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has secured free air broadcast rights for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, allowing Nigerians to watch the event without cost. This partnership with various broadcasting networks, including the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Television Continental (TVC), aims to ensure comprehensive coverage of Team Nigeria's campaign.

The coverage will begin with the opening ceremony on July 23, 2026, and will continue throughout the games, enabling Nigerians to follow every moment of the action across multiple platforms. In addition to live broadcasts, viewers will have access to a daily two-hour highlight program featuring significant moments, medal-winning performances, athlete interviews, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content.

Hon. Bukola Olopade, the Director General of the NSC, described this partnership as a major step in connecting the Nigerian nation with the games, emphasizing the importance of making such significant international sporting events accessible to all Nigerians.
