NNPP Rejects Atiku's Coalition Claim with ADC

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has firmly rejected claims made by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who suggested that the party was part of a coalition with the African Democratic Congress (ADC). This clarification followed remarks made by Atiku during an interview on Arise Television, where he listed NNPP among the political parties aligned with ADC.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Ogini Olaposi, a faction leader at the NNPP national secretariat, denied the assertion, stressing that the party neither belongs to the coalition nor intends to join or merge with ADC. Olaposi highlighted that the political activities of former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso and his associates, including Ahm Ajuji and Buba Galadima, do not reflect the position of the NNPP.

He further noted that members of the Kwankwasiyya movement, which follows Kwankwaso, should not be interpreted as aligning with ADC. The NNPP expressed surprise at Atiku's assertion, particularly given the prominent role within ADC.
