NOA Launches Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign in Kaduna

Issa-Onilu, the Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), spearheaded an anti-drug abuse campaign with a roadshow in Kaduna metropolis. The initiative aims to sensitize residents about the dangers of drug abuse and its link to domestic violence and criminal activities.

Issa-Onilu expressed concern over the high prevalence of drug abuse among youths, noting that individuals who abuse drugs are often more prone to violence, which poses a significant threat to families and society. The campaign will extend throughout Kaduna State, involving community engagements and relevant stakeholders to raise awareness and consciousness about the issues.

Issa-Onilu emphasized that the campaign seeks to promote a cleaner society by reducing drug abuse and crime. He urged residents to avoid dangerous substances such as cocaine, Indian hemp, and codeine, and to steer clear of domestic violence to protect themselves and their families from destructive consequences.
