Nobody knows.” This comment prompted a reminder that the qualifications for these offices are outlined in the Nigerian Constitution. Obi's remarks were made during a session focused on Nigeria's political future as preparations for the 2027 general election begin.

The conference, themed “Politics, People, and Nigeria’s Future: Forget the Slogans,” gathered lawyers and political figures to discuss democracy and governance. Concurrently, former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi engaged in a heated exchange with Omoyele Sowore, the African Action Congress presidential candidate, regarding Amaechi's achievements as governor.
