Northern Senators Praise Kwara for Safe Rescue of Abductees

On Thursday, the Northern Senators’ Forum congratulated the government and people of Kwara State for the safe release of 176 abductees who had been held captive for six months. The senators expressed their appreciation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the various security agencies involved in the successful rescue operation.

The statement, personally signed by the forum's chairman, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’ Adua of Katsina Central, acknowledged the critical role of the federal government's swift intervention, which provided the necessary political will and resources for the security forces. The senators commended the gallantry, professionalism, and collaborative efforts of the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Army, and local vigilantes.

They emphasized that this achievement demonstrates the effectiveness of a well-coordinated security architecture working in synergy with timely community intelligence.
