Nigerian Minister Confirms Walida Abdulhadi's Age as 22

The Nigerian Women Affairs Minister, Hon. Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, confirmed on Thursday in Abuja that Walida Abdulhadi is 22 years old, as verified by the National Population Commission (NPC).

This disclosure follows the release of Walida and her newborn baby by the Department of State Services (DSS). Minister Ibrahim emphasized the government's commitment to protecting the rights and welfare of citizens, particularly vulnerable individuals such as women and children.

She stated that the federal government is dedicated to upholding the rule of law and ensuring justice. The minister also noted that Walida's safety remains a priority, especially in light of credible threats to her life.

The Nigerian Medical Association has been involved in assessing Walida's health and safety. The government plans to conduct a formal investigation within the framework of Nigerian law, which will inform subsequent legal and administrative actions regarding Walida's welfare and access to appropriate support services.
