NRS Launches Training for Senior Protocol Officers

The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has launched a five-day intensive training program for its Senior Protocol Officers in Ibadan, Oyo State, scheduled from August 3 to August 7, 2026. This initiative aims to strengthen institutional capacity in governance, security, and protocol management.

The workshop focuses on key areas such as protocol, etiquette, precedence, synergy, and convoy management, facilitated by Platinum Protocol and Verity Consultants Limited. Ambassador Ibrahim Mohammed Bashir (OFR), the Chief Consultant, emphasized that protocol extends beyond ceremonial duties and is crucial for safeguarding institutional reputation and enhancing diplomacy.

He noted that while revenue generation is the core mandate of the NRS, effective protocol management is vital for maintaining the agency's credibility. Bashir commended Dr.

Zach Adedeji, the Executive Chairman of the NRS, and Mr. Adedamola Ipadeola Adetoyese, the Special Adviser on Protocol, for their support of the initiative.

Participants were encouraged to engage fully in the training to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
