NSCDC Arrests Four for Vandalism at Jigawa Nursing School

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Jigawa State Command, arrested four suspects on Tuesday for allegedly vandalizing and stealing aluminum roofing sheets from the School of Nursing, Hadejia. The suspects were apprehended during a routine surveillance operation aimed at protecting critical national assets.

The NSCDC's Public Relations Officer, ASC Badruddeen Tijjani, confirmed that the suspects were intercepted behind the school's perimeter fence with 13 square meters of aluminum roofing sheets believed to have been taken from ongoing renovation works. The suspects include Adamu Mohd, 31, a security guard at the school; Dan Inu Mohd, 35, a carpenter; Isma’ila Adamu, 30, a tricycle rider; and Bashari Yahaya, 25, an apprentice, all from the Gandun Sarki area.

Preliminary investigations indicated that one suspect was part of the school's security team, revealing significant internal security gaps. The NSCDC has advised the School of Nursing management to strengthen its security measures to prevent future incidents.
