NSCDC Arrests Two Suspected Vandals in Kano Operations

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, arrested two suspected vandals in separate operations conducted in Kumbotso and Nassarawa Local Government Areas on Monday. NSCDC State Commandant Mohammed Hassan Agalama confirmed the arrests, stating that Gath Gamaliel, 22, from Zango, Kaduna State, was apprehended at Panshekara with 17 vandalized railway clips.

Salisu Jibrin, 31, a resident of Kurna, Dala Local Government Area, was arrested at Yankaba while attempting to collect approximately 60 kilograms of stolen copper wire. Agalama emphasized that these arrests were part of the command's ongoing efforts to protect critical national assets and infrastructure across all 44 local government areas in Kano State.

He noted that investigations are ongoing to identify other members of the criminal syndicates, and the suspects will be charged in court. Agalama urged the public to remain vigilant and provide timely information to security agencies to safeguard national assets.
