NSCDC Arrests Two Suspected Vandals in Kano State

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, arrested two suspected vandals during separate operations in Kumbotso and Nassarawa Local Government Areas on Monday. State Commandant Mohammed Agalama confirmed the arrests, identifying the suspects as Gath Gamaliel, 22, from Zango, Kaduna State, and Salisu Jibrin, 31, a resident of Kurna in Dala Local Government Area of Kano State.

Gath Gamaliel was apprehended at Panshekara with 17 vandalized railway clips, while Salisu Jibrin was arrested at Yankaba for attempting to collect approximately 60 kilograms of suspected vandalized copper wire. The commandant stated that these operations are part of the NSCDC's ongoing efforts to protect critical national assets and infrastructure across Kano's 44 local government areas.

Investigations are ongoing to identify other members of the criminal syndicates, and the suspects will be charged in court. Agalama urged the public to remain vigilant and provide timely information to security agencies.
