NSCDC Enhances Female Special Force with New Training

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) initiated a two-day capacity-building program for its Female Special Force (FSF) in Abuja, aimed at enhancing their operational capabilities in intelligence-led operations and strategic security response. The workshop commenced on Wednesday and is designed for State Commanders and selected officers of the FSF, particularly focusing on the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI).

NSCDC Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Audi, emphasized the necessity of women's participation in national security, aligning with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 and the NSCDC Gender Policy. He stated that women are vital contributors to conflict prevention and peacebuilding.

The National Commander of the FSF, ACC Imonikhe Oluwakemi, affirmed the unit's commitment to integrating data-driven intelligence into operations. ACC Dr. Ogunshola Folashade highlighted the need for critical thinking and technological application in modern security challenges.

The event included performance awards for State Commanders from Benue, Kebbi, Edo, and Bayelsa States.
