NSCDC Abia Launches Safe School Committees and Vehicles

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State Command, inaugurated its Senior and Junior Disciplinary, Safe School, and Personnel Studying Approval committees on Wednesday in Umuahia. Commandant Chukwuemeka Odimba urged committee members to uphold integrity, avoid bias, and maintain accurate records.

He expressed confidence in their ability to positively impact the command's administration. Additionally, Odimba commissioned three refurbished Hilux operational vehicles, acknowledging Governor Alex Otti's contributions, which included five vehicles in less than six months and a promise for ten more.

Otti's support also encompassed providing water, an observation point, land for a permanent headquarters, and sponsoring personnel for capacity-building programs. The committee's Chairman, Ogota Emmanuel, assured residents of the corps' commitment to ensuring safety in the state.
