NUC Approves 12 New Programs for Sa’adu Zungur University

The National Universities Commission (NUC) approved 12 new undergraduate and postgraduate programs for Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU) in Bauchi, with the commencement date set for the 2026/2027 academic session. The approved undergraduate programs include B.Ed. in Arabic, Hausa, Islamic Studies, Sharia, B.Sc. in Social Work, Agricultural Science Education, Human Kinetics Education, and Health Education.

The postgraduate programs consist of M.Ed. in Educational Management, Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), LL.M, Ph.D. in Law, PGD in Sociology, and Ph.D. in Sociology. Vice Chancellor Professor Fatimah Tahir stated that the approval reflects the university's commitment to academic quality and institutional growth, adhering to regulatory standards.

She acknowledged the support from the Bauchi State government, particularly from Senator Bala Abdulkadir Moham, and expressed confidence in the university's capacity to implement the new programs effectively.
