NYCN Ambassador Akpeh Secures Tech Partnership for Sports

Mr. Austin Akpeh, the Nigerian Youth Council Nigeria (NYCN) Diaspora Ambassador in China, has successfully concluded a high-level diplomatic visit to Hunan, resulting in a strategic partnership with Superwatt Power Equipment Manufacturing Company.

This partnership aims to bolster the sports infrastructure sector in Africa by addressing the critical need for reliable power solutions. Akpeh met with General Manager Mr.

Ma Xiaoguang, with translation assistance from Ms. Vivi, to discuss the implications of this partnership for Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The focus of negotiations included expanding trade and addressing the power instability that often hinders the hosting of major sporting events. The partnership is expected to provide advanced power solutions for stadium lighting and athletic training facilities, which are essential for modern sports development.

Akpeh emphasized that this initiative moves beyond mere diplomatic rhetoric, aiming to implement a youth-centric model that leverages Superwatt's technical expertise in Africa.
