NYSC to Blacklist Employers Not Supporting Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) announced on Tuesday that it will blacklist employers who do not provide accommodation and transport for corps members. This statement was made by the Director General of NYSC, Brig Gen Olakunle Nafi'u, during an interaction with corps members in Kogi State.

Nafi'u urged employers to enhance the welfare of corps members and provide adequate support throughout their service year. He reassured corps members of the federal government's commitment to their security and welfare and encouraged them to report any suspicious activities to relevant security agencies.

Additionally, Nafi'u advised corps members to remain disciplined and dedicated to their duties, avoiding actions that could tarnish the image of the NYSC. He also encouraged corps members to engage in skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development during their service year to become self-reliant and proactive in identifying business opportunities within their host communities.

Mr. Tochi Chika Chri Monek, the NYSC coordinator in Kogi State, commended the Director General's visit, which demonstrated a commitment to the welfare and security of corps members.
