Oborevwori Launches N29.8bn Aboh-Akarai Road Project

On [date not specified], Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the N29.8 billion Aboh-Akarai road project in the Ndokwa East Local Government Area. This 11-kilometer road project, designed with reinforced concrete pavement, aims to connect rural communities and improve access to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities.

The project includes a multi-span bridge across the Okiri River and is intended to be above flood levels, addressing challenges posed by the 2012 flood disaster. Governor Oborevwori emphasized the administration's commitment to inclusive infrastructure development and assured residents that the project would be completed within 12 months, with 40% of the contract amounting to N11.9 billion already mobilized to the site.

The governor also announced plans for a subsequent project, the 10-kilometer Ojobo-Torugben road in Burutu Local Government Area, valued at N32.8 billion. Deputy Governor Onyem expressed gratitude for the governor's commitment to developing the Ndokwa region.
