Oborevwori Launches N29.8bn Road Project in Delta State

On Wednesday, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori officially launched the construction of a N29.8 billion road and bridge project in the Ndokwa East Local Government Area. This project, which includes an 11-kilometer road stretching from Aboh to Akarai, is designed with reinforced concrete pavement to withstand the swampy terrain and flooding, ensuring year-round access.

The project aims to connect rural communities with a reliable road network, stimulating economic growth and improving the quality of life for residents. Governor Oborevwori emphasized the administration's commitment to infrastructure development, stating that the project represents a significant step in delivering democratic dividends to all parts of the state.

The contractor has already mobilized to the site with a 40% advance payment of N11.9 billion. The project is expected to be completed within 12 months.

Deputy Governor Mondai Onyem and Ndokwa East Local Government Council Chairman Vincent Oshilonya attended the event, expressing gratitude for the development efforts in the region.
