Kogi Governor Ododo Promises Road Projects for Bassa

Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahm Usman Ododo reaffirmed his administration's commitment to improving infrastructure and the welfare of residents in the Bassa Local Government Area. During a meeting with a delegation from Bassa, he assured that the construction of the Odenyi Oguma road would begin immediately after the rainy season.

Governor Ododo also pledged to sustain efforts toward reconstructing the Shintaku-Gboloko-Dekina road and confirmed ongoing engagement with the Federal Ministry of Works to expedite the completion of federal road projects. He directed the Commission for Commerce and Industry to assess healthcare facility needs and prioritize urgent interventions.

Additionally, he instructed stakeholders to evaluate the costs associated with resettling displaced residents in Ibiroko, Mozum District. The Governor also approved the appointment of women representatives for four wards, responding to requests from the Bassa Ododo Women 2027 Group.
