Ogun PDP Leader Showunmi Backs Tinubu's Campaign Team

Otunba Segun Showunmi, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State, commended President Bola Tinubu, Governor Dapo Abiodun, and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for his recent appointment to the Communication and Strategy Committee of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council. In a Facebook video, Showunmi expressed gratitude to Tinubu for the confidence shown in him and described his inclusion as an opportunity to contribute to Nigeria's development.

He stated that despite previously campaigning against Tinubu, he now supports the President's re-election bid due to his favorable assessment of the administration's policies over the last three and a half years. Showunmi noted that he would have supported Tinubu from the beginning had he known the direction the administration would take.

He highlighted the administration's reforms and their positive reception from international financial institutions, asserting that Tinubu's policies are steering Nigeria towards prosperity.
