APC Leaders Rally Support Against Adeleke in Osun Election

As the campaign for the August 15 governorship election in Osun State intensifies, Governors Monday Okpebholo of Edo State and Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State, along with Minister of Works David Umahi and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Adegboyega Oyetola, have called on the electorate to reject incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke. They are advocating for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.

This appeal was made during the flag-off of significant federal infrastructure projects in Osogbo. Oyetola, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, praised Oyebamiji's leadership qualities and vision for the state.

Umahi referred to Oyebamiji as “President Tinubu’s political son,” emphasizing that an APC victory would enhance developmental partnerships. Concerns regarding police neutrality have arisen following alleged arrests of Accord Party leaders by the state Police Commissioner Ibrahim Gotan.

Governor Adeleke has urged voters to defend their votes, reinforcing the democratic process.
