Okpebholo's UK Visit to Boost Edo Diaspora Investments

Dr. Paddy Iyamu, the Oredo Federal House of Representatives candidate in Edo State and a former commissioner, stated on Tuesday in Benin that Governor Monday Okpebholo's recent working visits to the United Kingdom will strengthen diaspora remittances and attract support for community development in Edo State.

Iyamu emphasized that the engagement with Edo indigenes and business leaders in the UK has reinforced confidence among the diaspora, leading to increased financial inflows and investments in the state. He noted that Okpebholo's visit aimed to showcase his administration's achievements under the SHINE Agenda, particularly in security, healthcare, infrastructure, and education, while presenting Edo as a destination for investment.

The governor assured diaspora members of support for genuine investors, including land offers for viable industrial plans. Iyamu highlighted plans to deepen investments in agriculture and technology, including establishing a Cisco Academy for youth digital skills.

He expressed confidence that the visit's outcomes would create sustainable economic opportunities for Edo residents.
