Olamiju visits ongoing voters’ registration centers in Obokun, lauds citizens’ turnout

Siji Olamiju, also known as Akol, visited voter registration centers in Obokun, Osun State, and praised the high turnout of citizens. The ongoing voter registration exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) began on August 18, 2026, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Olamiju, a former cabinet member in the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola, suspended his weekly assessment tours to visit Ward 07 in Obokun Local Government. He expressed satisfaction with the number of people registering to vote, emphasizing the importance of voter registration in the electoral process.

Additionally, Olamiju commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for subsidizing healthcare costs, urging Nigerians to take advantage of this initiative for regular health check-ups. He also encouraged citizens with kidney challenges to register at designated Tertiary Healthcare Facilities to ease the financial burden of dialysis treatment.
