Iwo Monarch and Lawmaker Reconcile After Palace Ban

Oba Abdulroshe Akanbi of Iwo and lawmaker Lukman Mudashiru reconciled following a palace ban imposed by the monarch. The conflict arose when the Oba accused the lawmaker of neglecting traditional institutions in Iwo.

The misunderstanding was addressed in a meeting held at the palace, facilitated by Prof. Lai Olurod, who is the president of the Iwo Board of Trustees.

During the discussions, both parties emphasized the importance of community development and the lawmaker's role in securing federal funds for various projects, including a multimillion-naira scholarship program for indigent students and infrastructure improvements such as road construction and streetlight installation. Despite the reconciliation, the Oba expressed concerns about external influences that led to the initial conflict.

The meeting concluded positively, with both the monarch and the lawmaker committed to working together for the betterment of Iwo.
