Comoros Women Defeat Sudan 30-0, Face Super Falcons Next

The Comoros women's national football team achieved a remarkable 30-0 aggregate victory over Sudan in the first round of qualifiers for the 2028 Olympic Games. The team won the first leg 17-0 on June 3 and followed it up with a 13-0 win five days later.

In the second leg, Comoros scored three goals in the first half, leading to a dominant performance that showcased the depth and quality of their attacking lineup, with nine different players scoring throughout the two matches. They will now face Nigeria's Super Falcons, who are considered a significantly tougher challenge.

The Super Falcons, coached by Justin Madugu, recently defeated Senegal 3-0 in a friendly match at Remo Star Stadium in Ikenne, following a 2-1 victory in another friendly the previous week. The next round of qualifiers is scheduled to take place from October 5 to 13, 2026, with two African teams qualifying for the women's football event at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, United States.
