Ondo Electoral Officers Trained for June 2026 By-Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is conducting training for electoral officers in Ondo State ahead of the Ondo South Senatorial District by-election set for June 20, 2026. Dr.

Mutiu Agbok, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, urged participants to uphold professional integrity while discharging their electoral responsibilities. The training commenced on a Friday and is designed to prepare the officers for the electoral process.

Mr. Adenik Tade, the Administrative Secretary, accompanied Dr.

Agbok to various training centers across local government areas to assess the exercise and monitor participation levels. The training sessions aim to equip the officers with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure strict adherence to electoral guidelines.

The success of the election will largely depend on the commitment of the officials assigned to manage the polling units, as emphasized by Dr. Agbok.
