Ondo Kingdom Mourns Chief Oguntimehin at 91

Chief Simeon Olusola Oguntimehin, the traditional Prime Minister of Ondo Kingdom and former president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), died peacefully on March 30, 2026, at the age of 91. His family, through his daughter Omonik Omonubi, announced his passing and highlighted his fulfilling life dedicated to service and commitment to the community.

Oguntimehin held the title of Lisa, serving as an advisor within the traditional council and was respected for his wisdom and leadership. He was instrumental in strengthening professional standards during his presidency at ICAN from 1995 to 1996 and contributed to the fight against corruption while serving on the board of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission from 2007 to 2011.

He made history as the first chairman of the Ondo State Public Account Committee in 1978. His legacy as a mentor and community leader will be remembered, and funeral arrangements will be announced by the family.
