Ondo Women and Youth Protest APC Primary Election Results

Women and youth groups in Ondo State protested against the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election results, which they alleged were manipulated. The protest took place in Akure, where demonstrators blocked the Ilesa-Akure and Owo roads, stranding motorists.

They carried placards with messages such as "Sai no fake" and "Let our votes count." The protest was a response to the APC's decision to replace candidates in the senatorial and House of Representatives elections, which they claimed affected the integrity of the electoral process. Notable changes included the replacement of Adeniyi Adegbonmire with Dr.

Taiwo Fasoranti for the Ondo Central senatorial ticket, and Olajide Ipinsagba emerging in place of Hon. Gbenga Elegbeley for Ondo North.

Additionally, Hon. Kekemeke was replaced by Hon.

Donald K. Ojogo for the House of Representatives, while Hon.

Festus Olarewaju Akingbaso displaced Hon. Rasaq Ob Idanr Ifedor for another federal constituency.
