Oyo Monarchs Commend Tinubu for Successful Rescue

On Thursday, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Ladoja, led a delegation of prominent traditional rulers from Oyo State to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. This visit was in recognition of the successful rescue operation of teachers and students abducted in Oriire Local Government Area, who spent 56 days in captivity.

The monarchs expressed their gratitude towards the President and security agencies for their efforts in securing the victims' release. Oba Ladoja also took the opportunity to appreciate the Tinubu administration’s initiatives in rehabilitating federal roads in Oyo State, including the dualisation of the Ibadan-Ijebu Ode Road and the Ogbomoso-Ilorin Road.

He emphasized the importance of good road infrastructure for economic activities in the state. The visit was part of a broader effort by traditional rulers to acknowledge those involved in the rescue operation, and the delegation included several other notable monarchs from the region.
