Adeleke Restructures Campaign Council for Osun 2026

On August 15, 2023, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, announced the reconstitution of the campaign council for the upcoming Osun 2026 governorship election. This restructuring aims to accommodate leaders who recently defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

The statement issued to the media indicated that the new campaign council will play a significant role in the election campaign, with the goal of achieving victory in the forthcoming elections. The council is chaired by Bamidel Salam and includes notable members such as Folorunsho Bamisayemi, Ismaila Kolawole, and Tunde Alarap, among others.

Various committees have also been established within the council, including a strategic communications committee and a voter education committee, with appointments made for specific roles to enhance the campaign's effectiveness.
