APC Alerts Police of Alleged PDP Invasion Plan in Osun

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has raised an alarm regarding an alleged plan by purported Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) local government executives to invade council secretariats across the state. In a statement signed by Kola Olabisi, the APC's Director of Media and Information, it was claimed that the PDP chairmen and councillors intended to take over the 30 local government council secretariats and the Area Office on Thursday.

The APC accused these council executives of collaborating with political hoodlums, allegedly recruited from within and outside Osun State, to execute the takeover. The party suggested that the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke had emboldened the PDP council executives.

It also referenced a Supreme Court judgment that described the PDP council executives as "persons unknown to the law." The APC urged the Osun State Police Command, Department of State Services, and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps to take proactive measures to prevent any disruption of public peace. The APC emphasized that any actions taken by the PDP council chairmen outside of legal processes would be deemed illegal.

The party also recalled the killing of Honourable Remi Abass, an APC council chairman, by suspected PDP thugs, who are currently facing trial.
