Osun Governor Adeleke and APC Clash Over Security Issues

The Osun State Government, led by Governor Ademola Adeleke, is in disagreement with the All Progressives Congress (APC) regarding the outcome of a meeting with Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu. During the meeting, Disu informed Adeleke about the need to apprehend suspects allegedly hiding in the government house.

Adeleke dismissed these allegations as unprofessional and accused Disu of refusing to arrest criminals, claiming that the police have been ineffective for two years. APC spokesperson Kola Olabisi criticized Adeleke's administration for injecting political issues into serious security matters and described the current administration's performance as low.

The APC also accused the Inspector General of subtly blackmailing the governor and emboldening criminals. The political tension is heightened as the state approaches upcoming governorship elections, with APC's governorship candidate Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji expressing concerns over the state’s security situation.
