Osun APC Critiques Ineffective Resignation Tactics

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has publicly criticized the resignation style of a defector, describing it as ineffective and lacking political tact and diplomacy. In a statement issued in Osogbo, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, the APC Director of Media, stated that the manner of resignation reflects poorly on the party and suggests a crisis.

The APC noted that the trend of resignations is tiresome and has become a predictable irritant among members and the public. They mentioned that the defector's actions are reminiscent of outdated political tactics.

The party also indicated that there are financial incentives involved, with reports suggesting that resigning members may receive around N5 million each. Despite these challenges, the APC expressed confidence in its loyal members and their support for the party's gubernatorial candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, for the upcoming election scheduled for August 15, 2026.
