Dayo Israel, the National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), asserted that Governor Ademola Adeleke's dancing was not a weakness but a strategic tool that facilitated his emotional connection with voters, contributing to his success in the Osun State governorship election. In a post on his official X handle, Israel criticized the APC for underestimating Adeleke, who is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), by labeling him as the "Dancing Governor." He emphasized that Osun politics is deeply rooted in community and culture, and Adeleke's ability to connect with voters transcended traditional policy discussions.

Israel pointed out that emotions, identity, and presence are crucial in elections, urging the APC to learn from Adeleke's grassroots strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections. He identified internal divisions and weak grassroots mobilization as factors in the APC's defeat and called for reconciliation within the party.
