Adeleke Accuses APC of Punishing Osun Voters Ahead of Election

Ahead of the August 15 gubernatorial election in Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, the current governor and candidate of the Accord Party, raised allegations against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). In a statement on his X handle, Adeleke accused Bola Oyebamiji, the APC candidate, and former governor Gboyega Oyetola of punishing the people of Osun for voting for him in the 2022 election.

He claimed that Oyetola and Oyebamiji used their influence within the federal ruling party to harm the welfare of Osun workers, threatening the livelihoods of civil servants, traders, artisans, and ordinary citizens. Adeleke stated that the upcoming election would be about more than just winning; it would serve as a decisive victory that sends a strong message to the APC.

He asserted that the democratic choice of the people of Osun State must be respected and that no one should punish them for exercising their constitutional right to vote.
